Here you can find the original and natural ground henna from which henna paste (mehdni) is made. We gladly help you choose the traditional Indian motifs and painting technique.
What is henna? Henna is a vivid green plant that grows in small bushes. It is typically found in tropical climate. It has been known and used as a medicine for thousands of years. Indians use henna for special occasions such as weddings. They also use henna for hair coloring since it is natural and is beneficial in general for the hair.
How can you use henna? Draw thinly on the skin with the previously prepared mehdni. Let it dry for an hour and do not wash the painted area for 6-7 hours. After this time, remove the paste. Don’t worry if the painting is orange or light because it will darken in couple of hours. To make the henna appear darker, add lemon juice or black coffee/tea. Painting with henna is not painful at all. The paint itself fades away in couple of weeks but this can change depending on the skin or the quality of the henna.
In the shop we provide more information on henna painting.
